*ABWA Mission* The mission of the American Business Women's Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.	Business training and education have long been issues for America's working women. Seeing a need, Hilary A. Bufton, Jr., a Kansas City, Missouri businessman, founded the American Business Women's Association on September 22,1949. Today the organization remains dedicated to Women's education and has provided workplace skill and career development training for more than 500,000 members across the country.
