Join Colorado bird photographer Bill Schmoker for a workshop on digital bird photography. The class will cover most of the bases including digiscoping techniques, digital SLRs and lenses, digital darkroom tips, and photo management.  The class will be flexible, spending time in areas of participant interest.  Troubleshooting, camera and scope selection, and some practice time will also be available to interested participants after lunch. So bring your gear and your questions! If you are considering getting into the game, but don’t have a digital camera yet, you will gain knowledge to make an informed purchase.

Bill Schmoker presented our November 2005 program on bird coloration.  Bill is active in the Colorado birding community, currently serving as the Vice President of the Colorado Field Ornithologists and as one of the Colorado/Wyoming regional editors for North American Birds. His ever-growing bird photo website (http://www.schmoker.org/BirdPics) now has images of 525 North American bird species, many of which have appeared in publications such as Birding, WildBird, North American Birds, Winging It, and Colorado Birds. Bill's work has also been featured in photographic field guides, visitor center interpretive signs, newspaper articles, conservation organization websites, and as reference material for student and professional artists.
