Field Trip ReportSaturday, February 17, 2001 Eagles highlighted the morning with 14 in one location at Woods Lake in Weld County. We watched 2 eagles successfully catch fish, only to be pursued by other hungry birds. We also saw the following species: Prairie Falcon, American Kestrel, Ferruginous Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Rough-legged Hawk, and a dead Great Horned Owl. We had 25 people on the trip, so traffic management was a challenge. Leader: Rick Harness.
