Five "gullers" (Chris Wood, Nick Komar, Beth Dillon, Bryan Guarente and David Bray) studied the gulls of the Loveland lakes region in Larimer County from 3-6 pm. Although numbers of gulls was lower than expected, there was plenty to look at. Highlights included:

Thayer's Gull-1 definitive adult in basic plumage, at Horseshoe Lake, Loveland
Lesser Black-backed Gull-1 first-year bird, at Boyd Lake State Park Swim Beach
Franklin's Gull - 2 definitive adult in alternate plumage, roosting at Lake Loveland
Herring Gulls- variety of plumages and age classes
California Gulls - many dozens, all in definitive adult alternate plumage
Ring-billed Gull - lots, but fewer than expected.

Thanks to Chris Wood, for providing technical expertise.

Report prepared by Nick Komar.
