FORT COLLINS AUDUBON SOCIETY
BOARD MEETING
Minutes for February 11, 1999
(revised 3/1/99 after feedback)
The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 4 at 7:00 at the Shri
Thai Restaurant. Members who are interested may want to come at 6 for dinner.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Sue Kenney, Bill Miller, Linda McNamara, Kathleen Tracy, Dale
Agger, Scott Baily, Dave Dubious, Ron Harden, Joel Hermann, Cynthia Melted, Rick
Schroeder, John Waddle
OLD BUSINESS:
- The board decided to contribute two memberships with tote packs (Dale Agger
can provide) to the annual fund raising efforts of the Rocky Mountain
Raptor Assoc. The annual fund raiser is scheduled for the end of February. - Hurmence
noted that the Larimer County Bird List has been updated and more copies are
available.
NEW BUSINESS:
The rates at the Lincoln Center have changed. FCAS is now on a <4hr rate
($64.00), instead of the old 8 hr rate
$84.00). The Board saw no reason to reserve the room for more than 4 hrs.
FIELD TRIPS:
- The board agreed to set aside up to $200 per year to use as honorarium for
field trips leaders. The amount and type of honorarium will be at the discretion
of the Field Trip Coordinator (Baily).
MEMBERSHIP:
- Agger noted that she will get more FCAS brochures printed and make them
available.
CONSERVATION and CAC:
- Harden passed out the 10/98 version of the Proposal for the Colorado State
Office. He also passed out a summary of minutes of the 16 Jan 99 Colorado
Audubon Council meeting. Of note is the effort to pass US legislation on
wilderness status for BLM lands in southwest Colorado canyon country. A CAC
motion passed to support the effort and each chapter is asked to do so also. The
board will discuss this more at the March meeting.
