Environmental education is an important part of the FCAS
mission to “promote the appreciation, conservation, and restoration of
ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife.”
The Fort Collins Audubon Society Scholarship Fund is
supported by donations from its members, gifts from sponsors, and pledges
from the Society’s annual Birdathon. The fund must be replenished each year.

FCAS Youth Scholarships for 2010
For the second year, our Youth Scholarships will be
administered through the Colorado State University Environmental Learning
Center (ELC). FCAS funds will allow 6-8 youth to attend ELC Day Camp. In
addition, FCAS funds will provide Picnic on the Poudre for low-income
families and youth to get outdoors for a day and experience a wide variety
of fun learning activities that promote further exploration of the natural
world. The FCAS funds will also support ELC outreach to youth and their
parents at community events and a half-day program for elementary students
on a school holiday.
