 CYC auditions are
different...
Instead of solo auditions, we have a
group tryout where everyone learns and
sings together. During the two-hour
session we do warm-ups, vocal exercises,
and work on a piece in much the same
way as we do during regular rehearsals.
This approach lets us see how prospective
members perform in a real choir setting, and
allows the singer to experience how CYC approaches
the task of preparing for performances.
Our group tryout session for next fall
was held on June 1. However, you can still
tryout by joining one of the small groups we
will be holding over the summer, or by
scheduling an appointment for a more traditional
audition.
