Estes Valley Investment in Childhood Success (EVICS)

Estes Valley Investment in Childhood Success is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting early childhood care and education in the Estes Park area. A ten-member Board of Directors guides and directs the organization’s programs and activities and Coordinator, Nancy Almond runs the day to day operations of the EVICS Office.

Services offered by EVICS include:

• Free resource and referral services, in partnership with the ECCLC, for parents and guardians of young children seeking child care in Larimer County.

• Resources, information and training for child care providers, preschool directors and early childhood teachers. Visit the resource room at the EVICS Office where toys, equipment, and resources are lent to local providers.

Upcoming EVICS Training: Partners in Parenting

• The EVICS Child Care Scholarship Program provides temporary child care assistance to Estes Park families who demonstrate financial need and for whom other funding sources are not available. Qualifying families must live and/or work in the Park R-3 School District and use a participating licensed childcare program or home provider. • EVICS representatives are available for public education and presentations to local community service organizations and clubs. Research proves that by investing in early childhood success we can give children the skills they need to be successful in school and life, ultimately preventing numerous societal problems.
