Professional Development

The Early Childhood Professional Development activities are funded by the Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation to promote and enhance professionalism among child care providers in Larimer County. Through access to college scholarships, leadership activities, and professional development planning, we provide both direct and indirect services that ultimately enhance the quality of out of home care for children. Working with both center and family home care providers, Professional Development has provided almost 200 scholarships opportunities since the 2002-2003 academic year.

Through professional planning we assist providers in mapping a plan for themselves regarding their professional development. When requested, we can provide assistance in the connections to appropriate advisors at all local colleges and universities.

Our goal is to augment professional development through college enrollment, attendance at local workshops and trainings, access to professional credentialing, and support by experienced providers in a personal, accomodating envrionment.

The professional development of providers in Larimer County maintain the highest quality of care for our children and we are available to assist you in attaining your professional goals.
