Old Business
- "To do" list - Lisa agreed to set up htmlqa and htmlteam
file access groups on LINDEN. The HTML Process was explained. A diagram was
presented:
- Email addresses in FortNet HTML documents
- Addresses other than webmaster@fortnet.org are permitted in
the main body of FortNet HTML documents.
- The button bar in the HTML trailer document,
/home/ftp/pub/HTML/templates/trailer.html, MUST remain as it is;
no substitutions of for the webmaster mail address will be allowed.
- These restrictions apply only to documents in the 'mainstream' of the
FortNet WWW document tree. User home pages are exempt from these.
- These items will be added to the online HTML QA Standard.
- Online Information Provider Agreement
- Howie Grapek will continue his current work on this.
- The QA team will check the resulting document against the HTML QA Standard.
- Mary Ellen Buning and Howie will have final approval over this document.
- Notes from previous HTML Meetings are available from Greg Luse.
New Business
- Frequency of Meetings - It was decided that HTML meetings need not occur
weekly. After a vote among those present, it was decided that HTML meetings will
occur on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, starting with the
next meeting, which will occur on March 22, 1995 at 7pm at 720 North Wood Street.
- Attachment of ZIP files, demonstration programs, etc. - Tom Gaucher expressed
as interest in using links in his HTML documents that would point to downloadable
demonstration software. After a little discussion, all agreed that this should be
set up. The Webmasters and System Administration team will pursue this.
- Introductory User Packet - After much discussion, it was decided that there
should be introductory user packets for Email and SLIP accounts. It was also
suggested that diskettes be distributed to SLIP users using Windows or Macintosh
platforms.
