Old Business

  1. Status of Current HTML Assignments
  2. Status of FortNet Re-design project:
Terry Burton's project is expected to be ready for implementation in about a month. Implementing page changes was discussed.

New Business

  1. About New HTML Assignments

  2. HTML QA - Neil Allen
The Board, at their meeting of February 25, 1996, confirmed their ruling that pages located in user directories:
    • will NOT be subject to QA standards or the QA review process
    • will NOT require completion of an Information Provider Application
    • will NOT require completion of an Information Provider Agreement
    • will be provided with links from the FortNet pages as applicable
    • will be subject to normal standards regarding relevance and good taste

Information Provider Pages located in the FortNet space (/www/htdocs/) will be subject to the normal QA requirements, agreements, etc.

Business account pages are controlled by FortNet Communications.

  3. Point by Michael Goshorn regarding Information Provider pages in user directories:
The mail link for problems with such pages should be directed to the page owner rather than webmaster. Responsibility for maintenance is delegated to the owner.

  4. Point by Charles Clarke regarding Information Provider pages in user directories:
The stats reports do not provide information on such accounts. The owners will have to use some other mechanism to track page access.

  5. HTML QA Standards Revision Status - Charles Clarke
The final draft of the revised standards should be approved before the next scheduled meeting. Specific items included in the document were discussed.

The standards links at /INFOPROVIDER/ will be updated upon approval.

  6. What CGI scripts are available to users?
A page describing how to use available scripts would be helpful.

  7. User cgi POST method is currently not available. Server configuration changes are required.
