FORT COLLINS - Internet novices can ease into the web world with FortNet’s free, monthly “Introduction to Web Browsers” class from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, June 19 in FortNet’s downtown Fort Collins classroom, 145 E. Mountain Avenue.
Led by Jill Lenz, the popular class explores the ins and outs of Netscape Communicator, one of the more popular and universal web browsers. Lenz uses on-line demonstrations to gently introduce participants to the scope and services Netscape Communicator offers. Participants are encouraged to stay after class and use their new knowledge to explore the Internet on several available FortNet computers at the FortNet Community Center.
Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Brown bag lunches are welcome and beverages are provided.
Since it’s inception in 1994, FortNet has served as the local leader in building Fort Collins’ presence on the Internet and the community’s understanding of Internet technologies. FortNet’s services include its comprehensive community information website (www.fortnet.org), monthly Internet classes, a Community Center with computers linked to the Internet for public use, the annual Community Internet festival that draws over 1,000 participants and much more.
