FORT COLLINS - Beat the summer heat learning about frosty Antarctica! Lisa Beal, a long-time FortNet volunteer, will give a free one hour presentation about living and working in Antarctica including how the Internet is used on the seventh continent. Many photos and slides will be shown and polar exploration gear will be available to try on. A Polar Pals sign-up sheet will be available for those who want to receive postcards from Antarctica free-of-charge; families and children will be given preference for this limited mailing.

Lisa is a Science Support network administrator at Antarctic Support Associates. She is back in Fort Collins for a summer reprieve to share the excitement of polar exploration, science, and the Internet.

This free event will take place at 2-3 PM on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 in the Delatour Room, just inside the east entrance to the Fort Collins Main Library on Peterson Street. The general public is invited to attend.

For further information, contact Jill Lenz at (970) 224-5991.
