MISSION STATEMENT:

To assist individuals in Loveland and Berthoud to become self-sustaining through emergency services.

HOUSE OF NEIGHBORLY SERVICE FACTS:

  • House of Neighborly Service is a non-profit organization governed by a nine member Board of Directors.
  • HNS is staffed by three full-time employees and fourteen part-time employees. Approximately seventy volunteers help provide much of the needed labor to run the agency.
  • HNS serves over 1,600 individuals per month.
  • HNS has an administrative overhead of under 12%.
  • HNS is funded primarily by churches, United Way, City of Loveland, individuals and organizations, trusts and foundations.
  • Client eligibility guidelines and program policies are adopted by the Board of Directors.
  • Client records are carefully maintained in order to avoid duplication of services.
  • Assistance is not guaranteed and is based on the availability of program funding.
  • HNS conducts an annual audit and produces an annual report which is available to donors, etc.
  • HNS welcomes volunteer participation and encourages inquiries about agency procedures.
  • Tours are available upon request.
