A New Creation7:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2012Zion Lutheran Church, 815 E. 16th St., Loveland 3:00 PM Sunday, April 1, 2012 Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins Laudamus performs Rene Clausen's beautiful cantata, "A New Creation," accompanied by a chamber orchestra and using English and Latin texts from the Bible, the Mass, and a George Herbert hymn. Clausen says: "The various movements are attempts to characterize, through music, various aspects of the human/God, God/human relationship. Awe and wonder, unworthiness and doubt, mercy and forgiveness, love, joy, and peace are all wrapped together in this piece, as indeed these elements are wrapped together in our daily lives. This is a unique opportunity for music lovers in our area to hear a masterwork by one of America's most gifted choral composers. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students or senior adults 65 and older. Children under 7 are free. Seeking Your Help:The primary funds for Laudamus come from dues paid by members and gifts from friends. Because we choose to keep our ticket prices affordable for all, concerts are seldom self-supporting after fees are paid for facilities, instrumentalists, music, and publicity. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are very grateful for tax-deductible gifts from our supporters.You can become a FRIEND for a gift of any amount up to $199 a season, or a PATRON for a gift from $200-$499, or a sponsor for $500 or more. Auditions are held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Greenstone Trail in southeast Fort Collins. Give our Music Director Phil Barnett a call at 970.776.6032 or email him at phil@redeemerconnect.comLaudamus rehearses on Monday nights at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins from 7:15 to 9:15 PM. We sing three to four concerts a season (September-May) and seek to be the premier chamber choir in northern Colorado. From The Conductor, Phillip Barnett Thank you for visiting our website! Laudamus Chamber Chorale is an auditioned choir made up of talented singers from the northern Colorado area. We are in our twelfth season of bringing high quality choral music to the front range of Colorado. We sing chamber music with instrumentalists, as well as a wide variety of choral music from all historical periods, accompanied and unaccompanied. Whether you are a long-time supporter or are new to Laudamus, I invite you to come and experience a variety of beautiful choral music sung with "Spirit, Passion, and Joy" by the fine singers of Laudamus.
