• ORCHESTRA AUDITIONS - Sunday 9/7/08 - 1-5pm (accompanist provided)
• CHORUS AUDITIONS - Sunday 9/14/08 - 1-6pm - (accompanist provided)

  Requirements:  Please prepare a song of your choice (Opera, Art Song, Musical Theatre or Hymn - you will be asked to vocalize and sight read)

• PRINCIPAL AUDITIONS - Saturday 9/20/08 - 9-6pm - (accompanist provided)

  Prepare two arias - at least one in English. In addition, prepare the following selections from Elixir based on the role you are auditioning for. This should be sung in English (G. Schirmer score) and need not be memorized.

  • Adina:  Hear me: stay here (Prendi, prendi) p. 355-358 (start at the 2nd score 1st note)
  • Nemorino: Who can deceive a loving heart? (Una furtiva lagrima) p. 349-352
  • Belcore: Just as Paris  (Come Paride) p. 38-42
  • Dulcamara: I greet you, salute you  (Udite, udite) p. 93-98 (to rehearsal 67)
  • Gianetta: Burning midday sun Del meriggio p. 16-20

• PRINCIPAL CALL BACKS - Sunday 9/21/08 - 1-5pm - (accompanist provided)

  Be prepared to sing the following sections based on the role you are auditioning for. This should be sung in English and need not be memorized.

  • Quartet: Act I Finale p. 186 3rd score, Nemorino's entrance to p. 193 rehearsal 130 (Adina, Gianetta, Nemorino, Belcore)
  • Quartet:  Act II p. 297 rehearsal 42 to p. 301 last note (Adina, Gianetta, Nemorino, Dulcamara)
