The Club meets on the last Saturday of the month (usually at 1:30 PM) with the following exceptions:
(1) the May meeting is the next to last Saturday of the month to avoid a conflict with Memorial Day
(2) the November meeting, our annual holiday cookie/baked goods exchange, is the Saturday before Thanksgiving
(3) there is no meeting in December.
Club meetings that do not involve a trip to an historic site, natural area, or other point of interest are held at a member's home, the Livermore Community Hall, or the Livermore Community Church. Meetings usually include a program presented by a member (or members) or one presented by an invited speaker, refreshments, and a business meeting. A list of meetings for 2011/2012 is available HERE.
The Club's June meeting is our Friends and Family Picnic/Potluck. Members and guests (friends and family) bring dishes to share and gather at a member's home for a picnic. Every second year, we elect and welcome new officers and thank outgoing officers for their service to the Club at this meeting.
One meeting every year is a "Meet the Members" meeting where new (or newer) members introduce themselves to the Club via a short autobiographical presentation. These are recorded and transcribed and kept in the Club's library.
Membership in the Livermore Woman's Club is not limited to residents of Livermore, Colorado, and is open to all who share the Club's goals of:
Mutual improvement through study and discussion
Continued preservation of historic and natural resources
