Weavers Guild, Inc. is a nonprofit group interested in sharing
knowledge and skills in all aspects of the fiber arts.
Guests are welcome at each monthly meeting and
are invited to meet the many fine fiber artists, aspiring artisans,
and hobbyists who make up the membership of the Guild. Skill levels
range from those newly interested in the fiber arts to professional
artists and teachers.
Our membership includes many knitters, spinners
and crocheters as well as weavers. We were founded as an educational
guild in 1973. Because our founding members had foresight and
multiple skills, they opened the Guild to all fiber arts with
emphasis on teaching, learning, and sharing.
Membership dues are $25.00 per year for individuals
or families. Dues are reduced to $12.50 for new members joining
after January 1. A membership
form is available here.
2007/2008
Fiber Celebration,
our annual juried show now in its 34th year, is at the Lincoln
Center in Fort Collins, May 16 through June 24.
This exhibit features 65 works of art by 58 artists
from the US, Australia and Canada. The juror for this year’s
exhibition was Layna Bentley, whose work has been shown in galleries
and wearable art shows throughout national weaving conferences
and guild workshops.
More information is available on our Fiber
Celebration page.
