Fiber Celebration
Fiber Celebration is our juried show, which will mark its 38th year in 2012. It provides a well-publicized display for fiber artists and encourages members to compete with national and international peers.

Juror Liz Spear is a weaver of cloth and maker of classic, comfortable garments. She has been a full-time studio craftsman for over 30 years and based in Western North Carolina since 1992. After completing the Professional Crafts Program at Haywood Community College in 1995, she developed a line of handwoven clothing marketed through the Southern Highlands Craft Guild, Piedmont Craftsmen, Inc., and Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild. In addition, Liz teaches weaving and sewing of handwoven fabrics at various craft schools, including Penland, Arrowmont, John C. Campbell Folk School, and Appalachian Center for Craft.
