Thank you for your interest in the Youth Orchestras of the Rockies! It is our mission, through the study and performance of orchestral music, to build community and to enrich the lives of young musicians. What's next in an already exciting year with YOR? German composer Markus Reuter will give a clinic at our YOR rehearsal on Sunday, January 20, 2013, and then we will rehearse his composition Mariola, arranged for the YOR! Don't forget, rehearsals start January 13, 3 - 5:30 at Ridgeview Classical School and rehearsals are open to all Jan. 13 and 20. JOIN YOR! This year, in lieu of traditional auditions, the YOR will once again begin the season with two open rehearsals on January 13th and 20th, 2013 from 3:00 - 5:30 PM at Ridgeview Classical Schools, 1800 South Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins, CO. No pre-registration is required for these open rehearsals. All music will be supplied, with proper bowings. Attention Brass!! You've always known you are a rare breed, and now here's proof... YOR is actively recruiting brass of all descriptions and we're sweetening the deal! All brass players will receive a 50% tuition discount for the Spring season!!! New Members: A completed medical form is required for participation in open rehearsals. Enrollment forms will be available at open rehearsals and will be due at the first regular rehearsal (January 27th, 2013) along with a $25 non-refundable enrollment fee. Tuition is $65 per month (3 payments in Fall semester, 4 in Spring). Scholarships may be available (obtain a form at the check-in desk). YOR supports school music programs! As part of the enrollment process, we will require confirmation that each musician is participating in her/his instrumental program if one exists. We welcome homeschool students.
