Friedreich's Ataxia Parents Group

The Rice Companies (http://www.ricecompanies.com/), a family of service companies headquartered in Greenfield, MA, has a long history of support for the MDA.  Over the last 15 years Rice has sponsored a benefit golf tournament to raise donations for the MDA and increase awareness for the needs of kids with muscular dystrophy.  This year was their most successful event ever - a total of $44,000 was donated to the MDA.  Following the banquet dinner, MDA Good Will Ambassador Laura Beth Jacquin was provided with an opportunity to describe to the golfing audience how their donations benefit kids in need of support.  Laura Beth was then presented with a check from President Tim Rice to accept on the behalf of the MDA.
