Who We Are

We are a people of God.  As a people we are a fluctuating group, with many transient people among us.  We are diverse, made up of a variety of cultures, experiences, perspectives and walks of life.  We come together to worship, and to fellowship with one another.  We desire to encourage one another to live a life of service in the name of Jesus Christ.  We seek commitment to Christ, to one another, to ourselves, and to the community and the world at large.  We want to learn and grow by searching the scriptures, through prayer, by listening to one another, and by drawing from our experiences with those in need in our community and the larger world.

As a group, we are characterized by our willingness to accept people who are at different points in their faith, knowing that we are all searching and can learn from one another as we seek Christ together.  Because we are a small, diverse, and transient fellowship, our goals and our methods are continually challenged.  Through those challenges we have developed within us a strong resilience.  The changes which we experience continually challenge us to seek Christ, lead us toward new life in his Spirit, and provide a wealth of common experiences which broaden our understanding of God.  We rejoice in the wide variety of gifts and the creative energy which characterizes our fellowship.  Any person who desires to commit themselves to our fellowship is welcome to participate fully in the life of the fellowship and to use his or her gifts as he or she desires or as the congregation discerns.
