                                                    Book Donations
The October book sale, while not generating quite as much revenue as some fall sales, was still a worthwhile effort. What is of greater immediate concern is the slacking off in book donations for future sales, particularly the upcoming sale in March.

If your bookshelves are overloaded, please consider donating those you no longer have any interest in to the Friends. Donated books are accepted at the north loading dock of the Main library at Peterson Street as well as at the Harmony Shop

.

             Council Tree Library Opening Scheduled

Council Tree Library, the branch library being completed at the Front Range Village shopping area in Fort Collins, will open March 28,2009 at  2733 Council Tree Avenue. This is in the northwest quadrant of the East Harmony and Ziegler Roads intersection.

The District will also shortly be identified by a new name which will reflect the greater Fort Collins area that the libraries now serve. It will also have its own logo and the library cards will have a new look as well.

The District has received two grants, one of which will make it possible to install a new energy saving lighting system in the Main Library. A second grant will permit the development of a new program to better serve the children in the more remote areas of the District. To be known as Book Express, it will deliver books by mail there when it begins operations.
