The
Vutakaka Sewing Club is a group of men and women, who are being trained in
basic sewing skills and in the process, are making INCREDIBLE! items. (you
should see their latest designs!!) For many of their bags, they use a
single black button at the top for fastening. The buttons we have been
using are plain, solid black, and 1-inch in diameter. The problem is, they
are expensive AND hard to get locally. We need your help!
We are
asking you to please look through your button jars for big black buttons.
Maybe you could even organize a black-button drive at your place of work,
or school? It doesn't matter how many holes the buttons have, as long as
they are at least 1-inch in diameter, and are solid black. If you happen
to have any, please send them to us directly in
