THE LARIMER CHORALE INVITES SUBMISSIONS TO
Perspectives on CREATION Art Show & Silent Auction

Accompanying a performance of Franz Joseph Haydn’s masterpiece

The CREATION

With full chorus, orchestra and soloists

May 2, 2010

Silent Auction 5:00-6:30 pm ~ Concert 7:00 pm

For the finale of our 33rd season, the Larimer Chorale, one of northern Colorado’s finest musical ensembles, will perform Franz Joseph Haydn's masterwork, The Creation, his glorious interpretation of the creation stories as told in the books of Genesis and Psalms and in John Milton's Paradise Lost. The performance will be enhanced by a visual perspective of art work relating to the themes of The Creation, projected onscreen during the concert. The evening will begin with a reception and a silent auction of art work submitted by area artists. Art work will be selected for the auction by a panel, based on artistic merit and relevance to themes depicted in “The Creation”. This event will create a unique synthesis of visual and musical arts in a glorious celebration of the natural world around us. Funds raised from the silent auction will support future performances and programs of the Larimer Chorale and the mission of the Chorale to share the gift of great choral music and to inspire new generations with the love of singing.

Artists are invited to submit images of their work by February 15, 2010.

The live silent auction will take place at the Lincoln Center, May 2, 2010, 5:00-6:30 p.m. and will conclude after the concert at approximately 9:30 p.m.
