Who We Are
|
|
We are grandparents, right here in Larimer County, who are raising our
grandchildren. Some of us have legal custody or guardianship of our
grandchildren, while some of us have adopted them. Others among us do not
have the legal safeguards in place to ensure that our grandchildren are safe
and thriving. Yet we carry on. While our individual stories may differ,
there is a common thread that weaves its way through our lives. What unites
us is the shared story of our commitment to our grandchildren and other kin
in our care, our willingness to be parents to them when their birth parents
could not or would not do so.
|
Our Mission
|
|
To provide local support, information, referral and
advocacy to caregivers who are raising their grandchildren. To educate public and private agencies, community organizations, and
judicial and legislative systems concerning the needs of the caregiver
grandparents and of the children.

Thanks to the Jessups and Sylvan Dale ...
|
|
We had a great time at the Sylvan Dale Ranch Grandfamily day. If you have a minute (most families do not) would those who attended drop a e-mail to me that I can forward to the Jessup's and the staff at Sylvan Dale Ranch. I know they would appreciate your kind words.
