Mission Statement

The Larimer County Safety Council is a diverse group of professionals dedicated to promoting safety and environmental awareness. Larimer County Safety Council is a non-profit organization that provides professional development through educational sessions, networking, resource sharing, and career opportunities to its members and other interested parties.

Projects and Activities

The Larimer County Safety Council was founded in 1971. The Council has been and continues to be made up of safety conscious individuals, including representatives from the community, government, industry and business.

The Safety Council participates in numerous safety educational offerings and other activities by providing volunteers to distribute and discuss safety information and literature. The Council has provided assistance by way of personnel or equipment donations to various worthy causes, such as S.T.A.N.D., Crime Stoppers, the Fort Collins Youth Center, The Fort Collins Model City Safety Belt Project, Poudre Fire Authority, the Safety Village, and giving out Kid Care I.D.'s. Other educational offerings include Wellness, Hazardous Waste, Traffic/Construction Safety, Ergonomics, Lockout/Tagout and OSHA regulations.

The Council is constantly seeking projects and programs that will promote safety awareness in Business, Government and the Community.

Membership Information

The Council is open to all individuals and the organizations in Larimer County and surrounding Northern Colorado Communities. There are no restrictions relating to safety or other experience. The only qualifications for membership is a sincere interest in promoting safety and the willingness to contribute some time and talent to the volunteer programs and activities. Contact any officer for membership information and application.
