2012 Is Our 20th Anniversary Celebration Year
It will be a year filled with celebrations, old friends, visioning, guest preachers, workshops, and the beginning of the next exciting twenty years in our history!
During 2012, four recognized leaders in church development will come to share their knowledge and experience in building vital and dynamic churches.
- June 24th - Reverend Elder Arlene Ackerman, MCC's Director of Church Development, will share her expertise in identifying and developing characteristics of a healthy and thriving church.
- August 12 - Reverend Doctor Jim Burns and MCC of the Rockies Praise Band will share the role of music and community service in transforming a congregation.
- September - Reverend Tom Emmett, who reignited the church in Omaha, will share how community involvement can completely change a church.
- TBD - Reverend Elder Nancy Wilson, our denomination's leader, will share the amazing social justice work of MCC in transforming lives around the world and how we can become more connected to this important work.
Visioning Retreat
Our Visioning Retreat was a great day to dialogue about where our church is headed. We will continue the discussion with a series of small group discussions on various specific topics.
