About Us / Core Values

We are committed to mutual collaboration between laity and clergy in ministry and are committed to loving all people just as they are without regard for race, faith, culture, sexual orientation, or whatever.
We recognize the inherent value and dignity of each person.
We are committed to expressing love for one another, encouraging each individual to develop high self-esteem showing respect to each person, and creating and maintaining training opportunities to accomplish this.
We are committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through excellence in our ministry.
The ministries and activities of Family in Christ, MCC will be characterized by a reliance on prayer/meditation in their conception, planning, and execution.
We are committed to spiritual creativity, innovation, and change. We are open to continual evaluation of our vision and ministry plans because we are more concerned with effectiveness than an adherence to tradition, rules, or efficiency.
We are committed to minister with persistent and enduring faith.
Our ministry in every arena reflects a commitment to justice and inclusivity, nondiscrimination, and equal access by and opportunity for all.
We wisely utilize the gifts God has given to us. We believe in God's abundance and together endeavor to grow into giving a tithe of our time, talent, and financial resources in support of the life-giving ministry of Family in Christ.
We are committed to each person's growth toward wholeness in body, mind, and spirit, and full integration of spirituality and sexuality.
We believe that life is meant to be given away and that we will endeavor to share Christ with other people. Therefore we will pursue attitudes and knowledge that encourages numerical growth without compromising in any way our integrity and our commitment to following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
