Discussion:
 | Rechartering |
 | Need to turn in your envelopes tonight to Melinda. |
 | Popcorn sales incentive checks to dens |
 | Blue & Gold Banquet plans - Lisa |
 | Service project - Prairie Dog Meadow Natural Area |
 | Roadrunners and Tiger Cubs clean in December, Den 1 and
Den 3 in January |
 | December pack meeting, December 16 - "Holiday
Magic" |
 | Chuck suggested a cake judging and action and donate the
proceeds to the Salvation Army. Also a speaker from the
Salvation Army to describe what they do. Do we want to do
this or something else? |
 | Opening flag ceremony is Den 3, closing is Vipers. Setup
is Den 3 and Roadrunners, cleanup is Vipers. Would one of
the dens who are scheduled for January sparklers be
willing to do it in December (Vipers or Den 5) as the
Hawks would like to do it in January as that is when we
will be doing our Showman badge. The dens scheduled for
December (Dragons and Cobras) did it last month. Does
anyone else want to volunteer for a sparkler in December? |
 | Do we want to hand out pinewood derby cars in December?
Did we order cars? We have 59 boys (excluding the Webelo
II's who will graduate prior to the pinewood derby). We
did have a few cars left over from last year (see Susan
Giglio). |
 | Announce top popcorn sellers and thank helpers. |
 | January pack meeting, January 27 - "Discover Our
Family Heritage" |
 | Guest speaker or activity? |
 | Opening flag ceremony is Den 4, closing is Cobras. Setup
is Den 4 and Flaming Dragons, cleanup is Cobras.
Sparklers are Vipers and Den 5 although Hawks would like
to do it in January. See above. |

Discussion:.
 | Roster |
 | Need meeting days/times for den 5 |
 | Calendar |
 | Webelos II's are signed up to make their arrows with the
Order of the Arrow on Nov 13 9-10:30. It will be
somewhere in Loveland. Karen will contact the other den
leaders when place is known. Each boy needs to bring $2.
We also have the Order of Arrow signed up for our Blue
and Gold banquet. |
 | The possible camping visit with Troop 96 on November 6 is
off. I still need to hear from Troop 191 about the
possible outdoor activity on November 13. |
 | Add Scout Show at the Foothills Fashion Mall on March 18,
2000. This is also the day of Scouting for Food, so the
food drop off will be at the mall. |
 | Committee meeting next month will be right before
Roundtable. We will meet at 7 p.m. at the Harmony
Presbyterian Church. It will be a short meeting so be on
time. |
 | Roundtable next month will have a session on Webelos to
Scouts transition. All Webelos leaders, both first and
second year, should attend. |
 | Training |
 | Training check. |
 | Last chance this fall for Cub Scout Basic Training is at
Pow Wow this Saturday Oct 23 |
 | Fast Start video |
 | Popcorn sale forms due tonight |
 | Popcorn pickup November 13 |
 | Money from den due back to Cindy by Nov 29 |
 | In the Webelos to Scout transition guide, they say that
the Webelos II should get any excess money they earned to
apply to their Boy Scout fees. We should probably give
them a portion of the money they raise this year. One
option would be to say that the money from the first $100
earned goes to the pack and then they get 25 cents on the
dollar for any additional popcorn they sold. The checks
would be written to their troop, with the understanding
that it would go to their account. If they choose not to
go onto Boy Scouts, the money will stay in the pack. |
 | Service project - Prairie Dog Meadow Natural Area |
 | Hawks and Tigers (Webelos) clean in November, Roadrunners
and Tiger Cubs clean in December |
 | Home Depot is once again inviting Cub Scouts to come to
the store and do woodworking projects. They have set
aside Wednesday s from 4 p.m. to do the projects. Call
Michelle Griffith, 206-0774, to reserve your spot. There
is normally a fee for the kits (around $5). |
 | October pack meeting, October 28 - "California Gold
Rush" |
 | Flaming Dragons have opening flag ceremony, Tigers have
closing flag ceremony |
 | Flaming Dragons and Cobras will do Showman plays, Den 1
will do the opening reading from the program helps |
 | Flaming Dragons and Hawks have setup, Tigers have cleanup |
 | Mineshaft game, Stack your Claim race - dens need to
decorate and bring their burros for the race |
 | November pack meeting, November 18 - "Space
Derby" |
 | Still need kits for Cobras and Webelos II boys. If any
den has any extras, please let us know. |
 | Den 1 has opening flag ceremony, Badgers have closing
flag ceremony, Cobras and Den 1 have setup, Badgers have
cleanup |
 | Adults are needed to help set up the courses. We need to
be ready to go at 7 p.m. We should also plan how the boys
will race so that we can do it in the most efficient way. |
 | Do we want to get some inexpensive prizes such as gliders
for the winners? If so, we need to define how we are
going to determine the winners. |
 | Committee members |
 | Positions still open: Scouting for Food, Summer
activities, Friends of Scouting, Summer camp, Assistant
webmaster, Telephone committee. Let Karen know of any
parents you would recommend for any of these positions. |

site, which they say has a value of $180 per year. Wait
until after popcorn sales numbers are in. |
