Roger Sherman the "Popcorn Kernel" distributed popcorn packets for each den. Each scout should receive an order form, prize form, and collection envelope. The selling period is Sept. 13-Oct. 18, 2003. Den leaders shall deliver white and yellow copies of the completed unit master record summary of Order to Roger on October 18th. Den Leaders should retain the pink copy for their files. Popcorn pickup Day is November 8, 2003. Money is due to Roger by November 20, 2003. Each Den Leader may make his/her deadline earlier thus allowing time to collect late orders/money and then still get everything to Roger on TIME.
The goal this year is $20,000 for Pack 191. If scouts don't want to sell popcorn, they can donate $75 to the pack instead. Show and Sell options will be left to individual dens. It was mention that the city of Fort Collins requires a $10 permit if selling outside a place of business.
A concerned was also mention about the errors in the past on the boys' prizes. Den leaders were asked to tell the scouts to make sure to write down your prize or you may not get one! Also to make sure when copying down the requested prizes that a double check is made for the right prize.
