HANDOUTS:

Treasurer's Report from Beth Dailey.

The current balance was reported to be $5,984.84.

There was a questioned raised on the registration deposits. Being as this is Beth's first Committee meeting as Treasurer, she said she would check and report back.

There were several re-charting forms that had checks made out in error. Therefore, Beth passed those out to the Den Leaders to have the new checks made payable to PACK 191.

FortNet Donation Request:

Scott Johnson reported that FortNet was asking for a donation to help support the web site in which Pack 191 is currently using.

Tim Johnson volunteered to look into linking-up with another site.

Tim will check several other options and their costs and report to the Committee.

Recharting Report:

Kay Lannen reported 71 scouts were returning. In addition, another was getting his paperwork completed, for a total of 72.

Kay reported that Pack 191 was getting the Quality Unit Award. She quizzed the Committee to see if they knew what elements were required for this award.

They are as follows (Must have these 4): (1) Leadership training (2)Recharting done on time (3) Trained Cub Master and Assistant (4) Day Camp

Then the Pack must have a couple of the following options: (1) Tiger Cubs

(2) Service Project (3) Advancement in Ranks

Kay mentioned this so we could tell the boys when they received their patches that they helped by advancing in rank.

January Pack meeting - Finalize Agenda & Details:

Set-up: Den 6                                                  Sparklers: Den 12

Opening: Lightning Bolts                                Closing: Den 5

Run on: Dragons                                              Clean-up: Rams

The January Pack meeting will have the Cake auction with the proceeds going to the Friends of Scouting.

There will be an envelope for each scout's family. The commitment will be made that night by each family and placed in the envelope.

The envelope should be sealed and turned in at the Pack meeting. Debbie Wood will be there to collect the envelopes. Even if the family wishes to pledge $0 the envelope needs to be turned in, this allows the Chairman of FOS to cross off the names as the pledges are received.

The cakes are going to be judged by some older scouts who are being lined up by Jennifer Ochwat.

The auctioning of the majority of the cakes are going to be done by silent auction. Parents and adult friends can bid on the cakes by writing down their bids. The cakes voted on by the judges as the best are going to be auctioned off by a professional auctioneer who Jeff Wood is trying to line up for the Pack meeting.

CAKE BAKE:

The Cake bake theme is "My Home State", but the scout may choose a favorite state as well. Each scout needs to put his name on a 3x5 card with a short explanation of his cake.

It was mentioned at the Committee meeting, that during the auction only adults may BID!

AWARDS:

Since Jennifer Ochwat was not at the meeting, she is giving all Den Leaders until January 12, 2004 to turn in their forms for awards. No awards will be given in February due to the Blue & Gold celebration (With the exception of Webelos 2). Webelos 2 must have their award forms to Jennifer by February 12.

NATURE AREA CLEANUP:

Panthers/Den 6 are scheduled for Arapahoe Bend Clean-up in January. Den11 and Den12 are scheduled for Fossil Creek Park Clean-up in February.

Blue & Gold Celebration:

Judi Urlocker reported the Blue & Gold celebration would be at the February Pack meeting. It will be held at Werner on February 20 at 7pm. The theme for the Celebration is "Fiesta" and dessert will be provided.

Each den will compete in a centerpiece contest with the theme being "fiesta". The centerpieces must be table size. The centerpieces will be judged by visiting boy scouts.

All scouts are invited to attend the Pack meeting. Webelos 1 parents will serve the cake and  Webelos 1 scouts and parents will help in the clean up.

The Derby will be on March 27, 2004 at "The Square". (Weigh-in is March 26). All scouts get a participation patch and card. Then the Committee began discussion on trophies for the derby.
