BECAUSE PARENTING EDUCATION & SUPPORT
IS A TEAM EFFORT!
Individually, we can each only do so much to
help the families in Larimer County be as healthy,
successful and vibrant as they can. But as we
work and create solutions together we can achieve
magnificent successes! That simple insight drives
the vision of the Parent Education Network of
Larimer County (PEN).
PEN was launched in 1996 with the support of
a wide variety of caring community leaders and
organizations (non-profits, government, business,
education, health and law enforcement) who were
concerned with improving the health and wellbeing
of youth/children in our community. Out of this
came the focus of addressing the needs of parents
in the community, and in particular, parent education
and support. PEN was coordinated by the Healthier
Communities Coalition of Larimer County (HCC),
between 2001 and 2008. In 2009, the network has
branched out on its own with a strong volunteer
leadership team.
This website has been designed to help connect
families seeking parenting education, information
and support to the wide variety of programs, agencies
and businesses committed to providing those parenting
services in our community. We appreciate whatever
assistance you can offer in helping us expand
the list of events and resources detailed on this
website. Thank you, too, for helping to spread
word of this website to the families and parents
with whom you are in contact.
We have spent a considerable amount of time putting
together a resource list to inform parents about
opportunities for classes, information and support
groups. Please check out the resources page for
