PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Poudre River Trust participates in a number of activities that
foster increased understanding and awareness of the river's
outstanding natural amenities.
These include:
Sponsor of the Downtown Corridor Land Use Plan
Partner in developing the Gustav Swanson Nature area
Sponsor of the popular Huck Finn Days fishing derby
for kids
Contributor to the National Water Heritage Area proposal
Sponsor of the River Symposium, held May 30, 1998

FUTURE GOALS
The Trust supports:
Clean up and beautification of the river area
Planting of native shrubs and trees to stabilize riverbanks
Portection of wildlife habitat
Expansion of recreational opportunities including fishing,
swimming, and nature study
Increased accessibility by the general public
Encouragement of residential, office, commercial and public
uses of river corridor
Through the combined efforts of many interested groups and citizens,
the Poudre River Trust believes the Cache La Poudre riverfront will be
a major focal point for the Fort Collins area.
